To ensure we can create a Belgian academic backbone for our wind energy sector we need a thorough understanding of who's doing what in Belgian offshore wind research. That's why we offer all PhDs, connected to a Belgian knowledge institute, the chance to present their own research topic and get to know what their peers in other knowledge organizations are doing through an inspiring academic poster session and a network lunch.
All Belgian PhDs are welcome, so not only technical/engineering topics. We are interested in ALL aspects (also social, economical, societal, legal, etc.) of offshore wind energy!
As for the keynote speakers during our morning session, we have the following speakers confirmed:

Jochem Vermeir | Parkwind | Viewpoint of wind park builders on future of Belgian offshore wind & its R&D challenges
During the afternoon academic poster session, you will also get the chance to visit the Elia model of the Energy Island.
But there's more! By organizing this event together with our partner Sirris' Wind Energy Technology Summit we offer all academics the chance to showcase their research topic to their industrial representatives via the joint industrial-academic network reception.
And the icing on the cake: all academics who actively participate in the poster session on 12/09 will be offered the chance to join our boat trip to the Belgian wind farms on 13/09 (AM)!
